Position: Z Series Sales Specialist
We currently have 5 positions available in the Northwest, Mid-Atlantic, Mountain States, and Great Plains.
Responsibilities include:
*Manage a geographically-defined System z territory by cold calling, identifying and qualifying leads, preparing/presenting/proposing solutions, and closing sales.
*Complete prospecting telephone phone calls to potential clients, and schedule weekly appointments as a result of your phone calls.
*Develop and generate System z solution proposals.
*Maintain current and accurate records in our Siebel-based tracking system.
*Participate in various client strategy discussions with the System z Technical team.
*Participate in periodic opportunity status update calls with IBM.
Performance Objectives for this position:
*During your first full year, build a solid pipeline and achieve the revenue and lead cultivation objectives set forth in your sales plan.
*Develop and implement an ongoing follow-up strategy for potential clients. The follow-up strategy must move the potential clients towards closing business with LRS.
*Understand and follow all IBM rules, regulations and requirements.
*Understand IBM System z products, and the associated sales processes and challenges.
*Understand and utilize IBM’s System z Business Partner Pricing Guide.
Pass the IBM System z Sales Certification exam within 3 months of start date.
*Complete IBM System z Top Gun class within 9 months of start date (as available).
Organization Structure and Interfaces:
LRS IT Solutions is an IBM Premier Business Partner, and sells the complete line of IBM Systems and Storage, as well as related services. LRS IT Solutions is one of only twelve organizations authorized to sell IBM System z servers. A Director oversees LRS IT Solutions, with three Sales Managers reporting to the Director. You will report directly to the Sales Manager for the System z product line. The System z Team consists of experienced and highly-skilled Technical, Sales, and Support personnel located throughout the United States.
